Robert H. SeeHusen, 79, of Skowhegan, passed away on Monday November 28, 2016 at home in Skowhegan, Maine.
He was born January 6, 1937 in Kennebunk, Maine, the son of Bertram SeeHusen and Irene (Gatward) SeeHusen.
He graduated from Deering High School in Portland in the class of 1956. He served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1961.
Bob married Marilyn Stanley on May 27, 1967 in Portland, Maine and moved to Skowhegan.
Bob retired from Verizon after 24 and one half years working in central office equipment installation, and then central office repair from Skowhegan to Jackman.
He was a member of the Skowhegan-Madison Elks Lodge for 36 years, a registered Maine Guide and an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, family and friends, spending time with friends at Alice's restaurant, and the 5 am crew at McDonald's. He skillfully achieved the coveted Maine Grand Slam in 2015.
Besides his wife of 49 and ½ years, Marilyn of Skowhegan; he leaves two sons, David SeeHusen and his wife Lisa of Gorham, Peter SeeHusen and his wife Melissa of Corinna; five grandchildren, Michael, Kaitlyn, Jacob, Colby and Myia; one brother Ken SeeHusen of Bonita Springs, FL; one sister-in-law Colleen SeeHusen of Portland; and four nieces Lori, Linda, Lisa and Leslie.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday December 2, 2016 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11 a.m. at the Smart & Edwards funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine, with Rev. Mark Tanner Officiating. A private burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Skowhegan, Maine.

So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I have great memories of him at the house in Greenville when he came for hunting and fishing trips with my dad, Bill Cantara. It was never dull when he was around. Marilyn, you and the rest of your family will be in our thoughts. Paul and I also appreciate that you both spent time with Mamie after Bill's passing. She certainly enjoyed those fishing trips with you both. Bob will be greatly missed but we'll all have great and fond memories.
