Obituary

Robert Allen Wernette, 62, of Hewitt, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, October 27, 2014 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors with Pastor Greg Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Rosemound Cemetery with military honors provided by Fort Hood Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, on Sunday, October 26th at the funeral home. Robert Allen Wernette, 62, of Hewitt, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Wernette was born on January 19, 1952 in Hondo, Texas to Leroy and Velma (Jungman) Wernette. He served his country in the United States Army. He married Linda Williams on February 23, 1980 in Waco and they celebrated over 34 wonderful years together. Mr. Wernette was a member of Centex Rifle and Pistol Range and the NRA. He loved to hunt but his true love was being with his family. Mr. Wernette worked from Tymco Manufacturing for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and some nieces and nephews and cousins.

Survivors include his wife; Linda Wernette, daughter; Ashlee Blansit and her husband, Matt, parents; Leroy and Velma Wernette, brothers; Leroy Wernette and his wife, Pat and Paul Wernette and his wife, Tarvah, sisters; Vera Martin, Verna Washburn, Nancy Bullard and her husband, Rod and Sharon Erwin, brothers-in-law; Kenneth Williams and his wife, Carolyn and Mike William and his wife, Sue of Allenwood, PA and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
