Roberta J. Beckelman, 82, of Phoenix passed away on June 3, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Beckelman, son Jeffrey Baker and daughters Janine L. Motisi and Karen Wagner. Roberta is survived by her sons: David D. Baker, G. Kevin Baker, Kurt Beckelman, Michael D. Baker, Richard L. Baker, daughters: Michelle D. Baker, Mari K. Rawleigh. She is also survived by her brothers: Jon and Howard Potts and sisters: Beverly J. Jennings and Linda Potts. Before retiring in 1993, Roberta worked for Avis Rent-A-Car as a reservation sales agent. She also worked with children with learning disabilities in school offices and volunteered as a kindergarten teacher. She said "Teaching has always been the one thing that I enjoyed more than any other." Roberta was also a woman who was strong in her faith, regularly attending and volunteering at the Deer Valley Lutheran Church. But above all else, Roberta loved and cherished her family; being a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14, at 11:00 AM at Deer Valley Lutheran Church 220 W. Union Hills Dr. Phoenix. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a Christian Day School of your choice.Arrangements under the direction of Shadow Mountain Mortuary, Phoenix, AZ.

My brother John discovered just today that our dear Aunt Roberta passed away. Our mother Roberta's half sister also passed away on the 3rd...Jan 2013. Roberta and I talked. a year or so ago and she and John kept in touch through .emails . Our deepest sympathy to the family. 501-664-8195.. We have a lot of old family pictures and if you would like copies call me. On FB Joetta Adams Little Rock and John Boyce in Olive Branch,Ms. So sorry for your loss. She was so proud of her family and loved telling mother about them during their phone calls.We have wonderful memories when we would visit "Granddaddy" and Jessie and family in Tulsa. And later when Beverly and Roberta would visit us in LR. Peace and love to you all.

Dear Mari, Sorry for your and your families loss. I remember how sweet your mom and dad were when we were in our teenage years. Going to your house to watch MTV, those were the good old days.
