She was nationally certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Annie also served as a Medical Examiner for the State of West Virginia for several years.

Annie’s career started as a RN at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, MD, but her love for West Virginia brought her back to work in Beckley, Princeton and Fayetteville. “Doctor Annie” has been employed as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Fayette Clinic in Lochgelly, WV since 2003.

Annie was an elder in the Presbyterian Church. She sang in the choir at her church and with the Fayetteville Community Choir. She was a member of the Fayetteville Rotary Club and will be remembered by all whom she served with her advice, love and helping hands.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Allen “Charlie” Durrett.
