Roberta Herman was born in Fresno on December 10, 1936 and passed away on July 18, 2012 at the age of 75.
She lived almost her entire life in Fresno County except for a short period of time that her husband, Bob, was in the army and stationed in San Francisco. This period of her life was a source of many fond memories of just being married and discovering an exotic new city outside of central California. Upon their return to Fresno, she was active in the Biola Congregational Church and was especially involved with the activities of her family.
Family was always Roberta's #1 priority, she never missed any of her kids sporting events as they were growing up. Roberta was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She took her commitment to family to a whole different level when she had grandchildren. Over the past 25 years her grandchildren were the light of her life and she made a full time job out of it! Going to ball games, dance recitals, graduations, birthday parties, and many other activities kept her extremely busy.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mark.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; her son, Kevin and his wife Diane; daughter in law, Martha Herman; and 6 grandchildren, Jason, Chris, Brittany, Erik, Morgan and Lindsey.
A celebration of Roberta's life will be held on Tuesday July 24th at 11:00 a.m. at the Biola Congregational Church.
Remembrances can also be sent to the Biola Congregational Church Memorial Fund at P.O. Box 307, Biola, CA. 93606.
