Rodney G. Gardner, 59, of Lyndonville, NY, passed away on Sunday January 29, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Born on August 26, 1952 in Malone, NY, he was the son of the late Howard and Helen (Secore) Gardner. He was also a stepson to Larry and Alice Chatelle. He served a term in the US Navy. He was an Auxiliary Police Officer in Newport, RI. He worked for General Dynamics in Groton, CT as an OGT Instructor for 20 years. He was a bus driver for the Lyndonville School District for many years. He enjoyed fishing, watching the NY Yankees, playing cards and spending time with his family. Rodney G. Gardner, 59, of Lyndonville, NY, passed away on Sunday January 29, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on August 26, 1952 in Malone, NY, he was the son of the late Howard and Helen (Secore) Gardner. He was also a stepson to Larry and Alice Chatelle.
He served a term in the US Navy. He was an Auxiliary Police Officer in Newport, RI. He worked for General Dynamics in Groton, CT as an OGT Instructor for 20 years. He was a bus driver for the Lyndonville School District for many years. He enjoyed fishing, watching the NY Yankees, playing cards and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Carol Gardner of Lyndonville, NY. He has 4 daughters: Coralee (Michael) Traficante of Tampa, FL, Nicole (Louis) Silversmith of Medina, NY, Monica (Lucas) Silversmith of Medina, NY and Natasha (Jim) Davis of Lyndonville NY. He is survived by 2 brothers and 3 sisters: Lansing (Mary) Gardner, Malcolm (Rae) Gardner, Beverly (Dave) Kaminski, Patricia (the late Kevin) Eckerd, Brenda (Mark) Carpenter all of Lyndonville, NY. He is also survived by 12 Grandchildren: Nicholas, Brianna and Ava Traficante, Brodie, Trent and Peyton Wright, Christian, Mitchell and Emily Silversmith, James, Rodney and Madison Davis. He also had several nieces, nephews, cousins and step grandchildren. He is predeceased by two brothers Dale and Robert Gardner
Relatives and friends may call on Friday February 3 from 11am-1pm at the Bates & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl Street, Medina, NY. Burial with Military Honors will be held immediately following at LynHaven Cemetery in Lyndonville, NY.
