Obituary

Roger Emery Busby, 77, of Brunswick, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Southeast Georgia Health System. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church of Brunswick at 5PM with Father Tim officiating. Roger was born October 10, 1936 in Bald Knob, Arkansas to the late Carl Eugene Busby and Nola Busby. He proudly served and retired in the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion and V.F. W. and a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his half-brother: Randy Hayes. Survivors...

Roger was born October 10, 1936 in Bald Knob, Arkansas to the late Carl Eugene Busby and Nola Busby. He proudly served and retired in the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion and V.F. W. and a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his half-brother: Randy Hayes. Survivors include his wife of 32 years: Rosita Cordoto Busby; his daughter: Elaine Rose Cordoto Busby; a nephew: Roger Carroll Chinn (Janis) of Little Rock; his great niece: Tiffany Ferez and his sister: Virginia Horton of Little Rock.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org .
