Roger was born on October 12, 1962 in New York, the son of Marie and James Workman and was raised in Hillsboro, Ohio.

On September 9, 1994, Roger exchanged wedding vows with Tulu A. Workman in San Diego, California. Empathic and loyal, Roger was committed to making his new family happy. While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately this same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Roger was blessed with three children, two sons, Kyle and Ryan, and one daughter Emylee.

Roger worked hard to be a good Father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs, raising his children in a positive and nurturing environment.

How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, Roger enjoyed what he did for a living. His primary occupation was Insurance. Showing a strong work ethic, Roger worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career of twenty-four years.

Roger enjoyed his leisure time motorcycling. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastime alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.

After a battle with cancer, Roger passed away on July 14, 2014 in San Diego, California. He is survived by sons Kyle and Ryan Workman, Daughter Emylee Workman, Brothers Terry, Tracey, Gregory, Kerry and Mitchell Workman, Sisters Debbie Woods, Victoria Maynard and Denise Birmingham. Roger also leaves several nieces, nephews and extended family to cherish his memory.

Services were handled by Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary. A Memorial Service was held at the Little Chapel of the Roses in Bonita, California, on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 10:00 AM, officiated by Chaplain Bill Martinez. Roger was laid to rest in Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.

Simply stated, Roger was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Roger leaves behind the legacy of a loving family, life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember him.
