I was late to hear of our loss. Roland was a partner, mentor and friend. He took me under his wings when I joined Ortthopaedic Assocates in 1975
and we worked side by side 1975 until his retirement in 1991. I believe he started in 1965---26 years treating hundreds of patients with skill, compassion, and respect. He always had smile . He was a favorite with all the many residents who rotated through his service. He was the best!
I am disappointed that Fran and I have not visited Roland and Suzanne in the past year. My heart goes out to you Suzanne. Brad and Fran Urquhart

I was sad to hear that Dr. Jackson passed away. I worked with him at Orthopaedic Associates in Houston. I will always remember his smile. He was very nice to everyone. Rest in peace.

I miss my father. He was not only a wonderful father and orthopedic surgeon, but my mentor. I looked up to him and he was my inspiration to become a doctor. I remember being fascinated as a child while looking at his medical books and journals. He sacrificed much of himself during his career as an excellent orthopedic surgeon. He was a great provider which allowed his children to have wonderful lives and pursue their dreams. He was also the best husband to my mother. His sacrifices allowed my mother to stay home and help raise myself, my older brother Mike, and my two younger sisters Julie and Catherine. We can never thank him enough for being the best father we could ever have. I think of him a lot, especially when I visit my mother. God bless him.

Our family will miss our very dear friend and next door neighbor, Dr. Jackson. He always had a smile and was ready to lend a helping hand at every opportunity. I can only imagine the countless number of people that this kind and brilliant man helped over the years. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Jackson family.

Dear Jackson family, I have thought of all of you through the years. The escapades Hal and David had, the Girl Scouts with Julie and how dear Roland took care of a severed finger and broken legs and especially how he helped me cope with those experiences. I see each of you through those forty year old lenses. I pray you find peace and acceptance and then feel joy again. Very much love to each of you with fun memories from an old friend.
