After retiring from the Air Force, Ron enrolled at University of Central Arkansas, completing his master's degree in vocational counseling. As a vocational rehabilitation counselor he worked in Twin Falls, Idaho and Houston, Texas, where he finished out this career and retired in 1988. Ron and Louise have called Houston their home for over 30 years.
Ron was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served in many capacities in the church, including Bishop, counselor in two bishoprics, branch president, High-Councilman, and as a full-time missionary working at the church employment center.
