I met Ron once back in 2010 when we went to the Daytona 500 together. We became friends and kept in touch in the ensuing years. Tonight I had the Daytona PD do a welfare check because I could not reach Ron. They kindly called me back and gave me the unfortunate news. Maybe we will meet again in another time and better place. It was my pleasure to call you my friend.
