I considered Ronnie one of my closest friends for over 30 years. We spent countless hours together at J.E. Lutz and after his retirement. We had breakfast together every workday and many weekends sharing stories on everything from personal family life to sports and occasionally insurance. We agreed on most things in life-except my like for grits and car racing. It was difficult for me to discuss and debate with Ronnie--that being my lack of memory and what I consider his "photographic" memory-on anything, not just sports. I had an Antique booth for 15 years and we sold many items. Ronnie and I went to an untold number of estate sales together-he buying old and rare books, prints, and maps - me buying old primitives and tools. No one can attest more than me to Ronnie's integrity, honesty, high morals and his love for his family, UT, and Knoxville. Ronnie was much loved and will be missed by all that knew him. To his family, I offer our deepest sympathy and condolences- you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Ronnie has left a legacy that will continue to enrich the lives of those he touched through his friendship and many accomplishments. His friends of Northside Kiwanis remember well the enjoyable times shared together and today recalled them as they met on this Wednesday.

Our sympathy and our prayers are for his family at this special time. We know that life on this Telestial world is just a part of our Eternal journey and that where Ronnie now is, we, one day, will be also. His wonderful family (all of them) will share another wonderful life together with happiness even greater than was possible or experienced on this earth.

My connection to Flo and Ronnie has been through their daughter, Jenny. They were devoted, proud parents and almost never missed a game that Jenny coached. Neither the hottest day for volleyball or the most wintery day for basketball could keep them away. Ronnie was a gentle soul devoted to his wife and children. He was loved and admired and will be missed by anyone who had the opportunity to cross his path. My deepest sympathy to all of Ron's family.

I grew up with Ron as the father of one of my best friends. He was the Dad who would take us to drive-in movies, and let us play records and dance in the basement, and always had time for the neighborhood kids. My love and prayers for Flo, Rick and Jennifer. He was a good man, and he will be missed.

I enjoyed working with "Ronnie" at Lutz Insurance for 8 years. I also did some work with him on listing books and with the Junior Miss Pageant. He was a wonderful person and will be missed by all who knew him. My prayers go out to Flo and the children, whom I also had the pleasure of meeting several times.
