Funeral Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at White Springs Baptist Church for Mr. Ronald E. Brown, 81, Birmingham formerly of Rainbow City who passed away Friday, March 8, 2013. Rev. Tommy Crocker will officiate with burial at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.
Mr. Brown was a native of Cherokee County and a longtime resident of Etowah County having resided in Jefferson County for the past five months. He was a member of White Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Brown retired from Republic Steel with approximately 35 years of service. A veteran of the U S Air Force serving in the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Dot Brown, children, Charlotte Foreman and husband Luther, Birmingham and Greg Brown and wife Angela, Atlanta, GA, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be, Matt and Jake Brown, Andrew and Alex Foreman, Bobby McCartney and Jeremy Jones.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeff Fairchild and Gary Couch.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to White Springs Baptist Church Building Fund.
The family will receive friends from 12 pm until the hour of service Monday at the church.

Dot and Family, Rosanna and I are so sorry for your loss and may God be with you in your time of grief. Knowing Ronald from my youth I have nothing but fond memories and What an example of our Christian faith. I think I did provide him with the best laugh he ever had with that dive from my boat years ago. We have to attend a funeral in Birmingham for Rosanna's cousin on Monday but our prayers will be with you. May God Bless. Jerry and Rosanna Jones
