LOVETT, Ronald Henry
November 1, 1937 ~ February 2, 2014

On February 2, 2014 Ron Lovett passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his devoted wife of 54 years Margareth, his children Peter (Tammy), Gary (Lori), and Sonja (Mark), grandchildren Christopher, Charissa, Jason and Shane, 4 great-grandchildren, sisters Doris and Rosemarie, niece Laura and close friends who became part of the family.

Ron was born in London, England and began his career as a firefighter with the London Fire Brigade. In 1965 he brought his young family to Canada and worked as a police officer for 4 years in Vancouver and later Edmonton but it wasn't long before he returned to his true calling and joined the Edmonton International Airport Fire Department where he proudly served for 32 years. Ron will be remembered always as a true family man and loyal friend who dedicated his life to the protection of others and whose heart and home were open to those in need.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 1:00 pm at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 210 Haddow Close, Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ron may be made to the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation.

"I too worked with Ron. He was always a pleasure to work with, good at his job, fun and interesting to be with. My condolences and bless you, bud." Brian Coombs (Squamish, BC)
