"Grief is like the wake behind a boat. It starts out as a huge wave that follows close behind you and is big enough to swamp and drown you if you suddenly stop moving forward. But if you keep moving, the big wake will eventually dissipate. And after a long enough time, the waters of your life get calm again, and that is when the memories of those who have left begin to shine as bright and as enduring as the stars above"

Ron was my manager at Shell Oil for my first job after graduating from college. I couldn't think of a better person to work for at the beginning of my career. He was a friend and a mentor to me. For this, I will always be truly grateful. I have thought of Ron often throughout the years and I credit much of my life success to Ron's early influence. Ron has a special place in my heart and I will miss him...

Ron was my first boss when I started my career at Shell Oil. What a kind, gracious leader and dear man. I was just thinking of him last week after all of these years. God must have brought him to mind. Bless you, Lenora and family. He was a great man.

Lenora and family - Both Jan and I want to express our sincere sadness in learning that Ron had passed away. He was truly one of the good guys at Shell and I treasured my time with him. He was not only a great source of technical and business information, he was also a lot of fun to work with. Although we lost touch wiht him after he retired, our memories of him were very strong. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family for your loss.

What a great video, brought back memories. I first met Ron a few months after he hired in at Anacortes. Helen and I both had the honor of knowing and working with him and considering him a friend. Dallas and Helen Wolf
