Ronny Dale Jackson, 54, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, December 27, 2012 at the Arlington Memorial Hospital Hospice. Born in Dallas, Texas on May 6, 1958 to parents Flora Swatsell-Hoffman and Bernon Jackson. Ronny lived most of his life in Grand Prairie, Texas where he grew up.
Ronny is preceded in death by his grandmother Nola Swatsell, grandfather Edgar Swatsell, and mother Flora Swatsell-Hoffman.
Ronny is survived by his wife Paula Denise Jackson of 21 years, father Bernon Jackson, daughter Sara Jackson-Holzman and son-in-law Andrew Holzman, daughter Kelly Jackson, step-son Billy Wylie, sister Wanda Crowley and brother-in-law R.L. Crowley, sister Kathy Huffer and brother-in-law Jeff Huffer, sister Denise Raper and brother-in-law Robert Raper, brother Bernon Jackson Jr and sister-in-law Debbie Jackson Jr, granddaughter Avery Lane Bell, grandson Dakota Dale Jackson, grandson Rory Ethan Rollins, five step-grandchildren, and an abundance of nieces and nephews who considered him as more than just an uncle, and family and friends. Ronny was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend to all those in his life. He was extremely loved and will be tremendously missed.
Ronny served 8 years in the United States Navy on the U.S.S Independence as a System Organizational Maintenance Technician and an Instructor. His recognitions include: First Good Conduct Award, Navy "E" Ribbon, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and Navy Expeditionary Medal.
Ronny worked for Triumph Group Inc. for 25 years as an Aircraft Assembler. He also worked several years at Bell Helicopter. Ronny was highly recognized for his impeccable work ethic, leaving behind a near impossible standard to reach. He was very much respected and loved by his co-workers and will be greatly missed.
Ronny spent over six years as a youth leader with his wife at Trailwood United Methodist Church as their three children and niece and nephew navigated their way through adolescence. He also sang in the church choir.
Ronny was a long-time die hard Dallas Cowboys fan. He had many hobbies throughout his life including gardening, bowling, softball, collecting model vehicles, and reminding his loved ones of how and why his way was the right way.
Ronny went from a boy to a man hauling hay. He never made excuses, never backed down from hard work or a challenge. He gave a hundred and ten percent to everything he touched. Though his exterior could come across as rough from time to time, Ronny's heart was filled with bottomless, selfless love that could only be rivaled by his generous nature.
Ronny was a force of nature, leaving behind a significant missing piece in each of our hearts.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Monday, December 31, 2012, at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home's Belt Line Chapel with Pastor Wes Magruder officiating. Private burial will be held at a later date at DFW National Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 30, 2012, from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home.

"You will lose someone you can't live without, and your heart will be badly broken, and the bad news is that you never completely get over the loss of your beloved. But this is also the good news. They live forever in your broken heart that doesn't seal back up. And you come through. It's like having a broken leg that never heals perfectly, that still hurts when the weather gets cold, but you learn to dance with the limp." ~Anne Lamott
This encompasses exactly how I feel about losing you Daddy. There never will be another you. I love you.
