Biography

Rosa Quintanilla Pulido, 85, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at a nursing home in Seguin, Texas. Rosa was born on February 6, 1926 to Pedro Quintanilla and Marcella Villarreal Quintanilla in Premont, Texas. Rosa worked many jobs throughout her lifetime including sports coach to her children, business manager for over 20 years, field worker and many more all while being a housewife, homemaker, mother, grandmother and aunt. Her parents precede her in death along with her husband of 63 years Narciso Pulido Jr., children Viola and Peter Pulido and grandchild Darian Pulido. She is survived by her two sons Narciso (Phyllis) Pulido III of Schertz, Texas and Robert (Karen) Pulido of Seguin, Texas, three daughters Nora (Eddie) Luttrell of Bakersfield, CA, Judy (Felipe) Munoz of Premont, Texas and Nancy (Frank) Johnson of Seguin, Texas, sister Idolina (Medardo) Olivarez of Premont, Texas brothers Gilberto (Ofelia) Quintanilla of Calallen, Texas and Noe (Mary) Quintanilla of East Texas, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who will all miss her dearly. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church in Premont with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church in Premont.
