Rosalie Anna Lorino Campise, age 71, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, the 21st of May 2013. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.

She was a native Houstonian, born on the 31st of December 1941, to the late Michael Thomas Lorino and Josephine Rita Lorino. Rosalie was preceded in death by her loving parents, her sister Annette Lorino, her grandparents, the late Annie and Sam M. Lamonte, and the late Rosalie "Lilly" and Pete Lorino.

Rosalie grew up in the East End of Houston, attended Queen of Peace Catholic School, and St. Agnes Academy. Rosalie married her childhood sweetheart, J. Leon Campise, on the 16th of April 1961. Rosalie and Leon enjoyed 52 wonderful years together with their two loving sons, Leonard J. Campise and Michael T. Campise.

Rosalie retired from the former Banc One at Edgebrook where she was well known by her clients for always being cheerful and pleasant. Rosalie's family was everything to her as she cared for her mother and sister, Annette, even during her own illness. Rosalie was always thinking of others, even getting cards mailed to her family during her lasts few weeks. Rosalie was a member of Saint Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church and a member of the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, a member of the Ladies of Sacred Heart and of the Amekitos Club where she was a former president.

She is survived by her loving and caring husband, J. Leon Campise, who never left her side during her three year illness; son Leonard J. Campise and daughter-in-law Jami, son Michael T. Campise and daughter-in-law Jacquelyn; grandchildren, Marissa Ann Campise, Joseph Michael Campise, Gianna Marie Campise, Isabella Grace Campise; step-grandchild Megan Gilley; sister, Michelene Campise and husband Paul Alan; godmother, aunt Pearl Rao; sisters-in-law, Roseanne Coe and husband Ray, and Diane Herzog and husband Marshall; brothers-in-law, Mickey Campise and Joe Campise.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Nathan Fowler and the staff at MD Anderson Hospital for the care and support given to Rosalie and her family.

The family will receive friends during a visitation from nine until ten o'clock in the morning on Thursday, the 23rd of May, at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1111 St. Joseph Parkway in Houston, where a Mass of Christian Burial is to be offered at ten o'clock, with Rev. Lawrence Jozwiak, J.C.L., Pastor and Rector, celebrating.

The Rite of Committal is to follow, via an escorted cor¬tege, at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.

Honored to serve as casket bearers during the services are, Luke T. Rao, Charles A. Triola, Leon F. Coe, Tony Matranga, Joseph P. Altomari, Carl A. Mattaliano III, Phillip J. Montalbano, and Sam W. Sicola. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Joseph M. Campise, Paul A. Campise, Ray F. Coe, Anthony J. Mandola, John F. Storenski, Joseph A. Matranga.

In lieu of customary re¬membrances, memorial con¬tributions may be directed to The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, 1515 Holcombe Boulevard, Unit Number 429: Attn: Dr. Nathan Fowler, Houston, TX 77030.

Dear Bubba and Family, Ed and I were so sorry to hear of Rosalie's death. We had been out of town and received the message from Porter Layne. Rosalie was such a beautiful person both in person and in spirit. We enjoyed every minute that we spent with you both and send our deepest sympathy. Dear Campise family, I just returned from a trip and heard the news of Rosalie's death. I am so sorry of your loss and I know it has been a long struggle for her and for you. I will keep you in my prayers and I am sorry I could not make the funeral, but it was my day to work at the funeral home and could not leave.
