Millinocket --Rosalie Ann Shaw, 60 died February 1, 2018. She was born on July 10, 1957 in Winchester, Massachusetts the daughter of Rosalie (Oakes) Sabins and Fred M. DeLorenzo. She grew up in a busy home having 7 siblings that lovingly called her "Peanut." She attended school in Somerville (MA) School District.
In 1975 Rosalie met the love of her life and after only a three week courtship she knew he was the one and only. On August 22, 1975 David and Rosalie were married by O'Donnell's Justice of the Peace at "The Top of the Hill" in Bangor, Maine. Together they shared over 42 years of marriage and were blessed with three sons: Adam Shaw, Tim Shaw, and John Shaw.
Their strong bond grew as the traveled the world, the United States Army took them to places like California and Kentucky, Rosalie often spoke of the Azores (off the coast of Portugal) as one of her favorites. After their time as an Army family they were called to service and continued to travel as a Pastor's family. Rosalie was strong in her faith and love for her family, as a Pastor's wife and devoted mum of 3 boys she worked hard to provide a home everyone felt welcome in. She was her sons biggest fan, attending football, basketball, track and lacrosse events; when they looked up in the stands they saw a proud mum. In 1994 Rosalie went back to school and received a degree as a Dietetic Technician, she was able to show her boys the importance of an education. She continued to work in this field and currently worked at the Millinocket Regional Hospital.
Rosalie had a beautiful smile, bright blue eyes, and a warm hug to give to those she loved. She had a little sass, mixed in with a bit of spunk, and showed a zest for life that all could see. As a wife she loved through sickness and health; as a mum she loved through the terrible twos, teenage rebellion, and her baby boys leaving the nest; as a grammy she loved with her whole heart, they could do no wrong in her eyes.
On the evening of Thursday, February 1, 2018, after a day full of visits from loved ones; Rosalie entered into the Heavenly gates, where she received a, "Welcome Home" from her Lord and Savior, having attaining the age of 60. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband David Shaw of the home; her loving mother: Rosalie Sabins and mother-in-law Joyce Shaw-Payne; three sons: Adam Shaw and wife Mona of Richland, MO, Tim Shaw of Bangor, ME, and John Shaw and wife Jessica of Warrensburg, MO; her six grandchildren: Callie Shaw, Brayden Burd, Gavin Shaw, Jaxon Shaw, Ashton Shaw, and Caleb Shaw; several siblings, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Rosalie was preceded in death by her two brothers: Fred DeLorenzo (1969) and Jeffrey DeLorenzo (1956).
Friends may gather from 3-4 PM Sunday February 11, 2018 at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town where a service to celebrate her life will begin at 4PM and a memorial reception will follow services.

When a mother loses a child , it's a feeling like no other, My Mother Rosalie,, and my sister Rosalie, her daughter, had a bond that could not be broken,by no one, they were so close, as my mum, spent the last few hours by her side, they held hands a bond, of true, support and comfort, true moments frozen in time, these two were,,, inseparable,
Through out the years, my sister took excellent care of my mother, for so many years, as she did, everyone who ever came in her presence, she went out into the world, wherever she was needed , she would go, she had the uncanny ability, to love beyond measure, and go the extra mile, she loved to help others, never considering her next breath, loved with all she had, and gave with all her love.
A faithful,, wife and mother, and grandmother, my sister had a GOD given,
talent
A BEAUTIFUL HEART.
