Rosanna Delhommer Parent, lifelong resident of Prairieville, LA , left this world to rest in her heavenly home on Saturday, October 15, 2016. She was born on July 3, 1922, and spent her life on earth as a devoted mother, wife, friend, and homemaker. Her love for her family was evident in all that she did. She was a wonderful cook, and her home was always full of family and friends. Rosanna was a true example of unconditional and selfless love. She always put others needs before her own. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, and the St. John Ladies Alter Society. She was active with many church and civic ministries throughout her life. Rosanna was predeceased by her husband Kenneth(KJ)Parent, Sr., parents Andrew and Adeline Delhommer, son Clarence (CJ) Parent, grandson John Helget, brothers Andrew "Jay" Delhommer, Jr., Henry Delhommer, and sister Pearlie Delhommer Ruiz (Alex). Rosanna is survived by her children Carolyn Shook, Cathy Hatcher(Curtis), Kenneth Parent, Jr., Frank King, Claudia Helget, Charles Parent, Celeste Harris(Rick), and Karla Metz (Mark). Rosanna is also survived by 27 Grand-children, 44 Great-grandchildren, and 9 Great-great-grand-children. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Ourso Fuenral Home of Gonzales from 6:0 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memories Cemetery Mausoleum in Prairieville. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to MD Anderson Cancer Center.
