Rosaria "Sara" Ingarra, 93, of Rockford died Wednesday, Nov, 23, 2016. Born May 5, 1923, in Marsala, Sicily, daughter of Rosa Digiloramo and Antonio Regina. Married Pietro Ingarra on April 29, 1948; he predeceased her. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, South Beloit. Sara's career was defined as a homemaker, filling her home with love and wonderful homemade cooking, Sara worked for awhile at Freeman Shoes, Nelson Knitting, and prepared all her signature dishes for the family owned Sicilian Restaurant in Beloit, WI.
Also predeceased by two brothers; one sister; and son-in-law, Joseph Saladino.
Survivors include children, Anna Saladino, Rosa (Pietro) Tarara and Andy Ingarra, all of Rockford; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Giovanna LaRosa of Marsala, Italy; sisters-in-law, Nina Ingarra and Pina Regina.
