Obituary

Rosario N. J. Guy, 83, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012. He was the husband of Natalie (Aumery) Guy, to whom he had been married for 60 years. Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Emile Guy and Rosemonde (Berube) Guy-Bergeron, he was a lifelong resident of the area. Mr. Guy served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was a Baker at Nissen & Giusti Bakery for many years before retiring. He was a member of the American Legion #265 in Acushnet and an avid NASCAR fan. Rosario N. J. Guy, 83, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012. He was the husband of Natalie (Aumery) Guy, to whom he had been married for 60 years.

Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Emile Guy and Rosemonde (Berube) Guy-Bergeron, he was a lifelong resident of the area.

Mr. Guy served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was a Baker at Nissen & Giusti Bakery for many years before retiring. He was a member of the American Legion #265 in Acushnet and an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed helping with his sons' races, gardening and especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Peter and his wife Marcia, Leonard and his wife Cheryl and Eric; five grandchildren, Erica, Kathryn, Ross, Eric Jr. and Amanda and daughter in law, Lorraine Thompson.

His funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2012 at 10:30 AM in the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Acushnet Cemetery. Visiting hours, 9:30-10:30 prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his honor to, Community Nurse and Hospice Care, P.O. Box 751, Fairhaven, MA 02719.
