Rosemary Kratman Palazzolo, 74, of Merrimack, NH passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family following a five year battle with cancer.  She was born May 14, 1940 in Revere, MA, a daughter of the late Salvator and Agnus (Conley) Elliot.   Rosemary grew up in Revere and married Robert Kratman in 1956.  She then raised seven children and was a stay at home mom.  She was also an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Chelsea, MA.  Rosemary went back to school while in her 40's to become a nurse, a very proud moment for her and her family.  She worked many...
Rosemary Kratman Palazzolo, 74, of Merrimack, NH passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family following a five year battle with cancer.  She was born May 14, 1940 in Revere, MA, a daughter of the late Salvator and Agnus (Conley) Elliot.
 
Rosemary grew up in Revere and married Robert Kratman in 1956.  She then raised seven children and was a stay at home mom.  She was also an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Chelsea, MA.  Rosemary went back to school while in her 40's to become a nurse, a very proud moment for her and her family.  She worked many years for Governor Winthrop Nursing Center.  Following her retirement she began travelling with her partner; Philip Marino, living the "high life" for five years prior to returning to New England.  Once back Rosemary took an active role in raising many of her grandchildren.  A life-long animal lover, she loved all of her pets, was an avid reader and enjoyed watching old movies.
 
She is survived by six children; Deborah Bochert of Littleton, NH, Kurt Kratman of Middleton, MA, Robin Mulvey and her husband Joseph of Nashua, William Kratman of Nashua, John Kratman and his wife Teresa of Lincoln, RI and Jennylyn Trainor and her husband William of Merrimack.  She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; Dina, Christina, Sabrina, Joseph, Kurt Jr., Kristopher, Nicole, Michael, Rosemary, William Jr., Ashlee, Joshua, Matthew, Samantha, Abigail, Lucy, James and Sara, and by 11 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by the love of her life; Philip Marino in 1998, her daughter; Anita Kratman and a sister; Jeanette Warner.
 
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Saturday, August 9th in St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 W. Hollis St., Nashua. Memorials may be directed to the St. Joseph Hospital Cancer Center, 172 W. Hollis St., Nashua, NH 03061 or to St. Joseph Home and Hospice Care, 24 N. River Rd., Milford, NH 03055.
