Obituary

Rosemary Triche Andry passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Lakeview Hospital, Covington, LA, after a brief illness. Born in New Orleans May 10, 1922, she was a long time resident of Harahan, LA. She was the daughter of Louis Triche, Sr. and Mary Vignau. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Malcolm E. Andry, Sr., her sister Evelyn Triche and brothers George Triche and Louis Triche, Jr. She is survived by her son, Dr. Malcolm E. Andry, Jr., and stepdaughter Sara Pat Andry Shaheen. Rosemary Triche Andry passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Lakeview Hospital, Covington, LA, after a brief illness. Born in New Orleans May 10, 1922, she was a long time resident of Harahan, LA. She was the daughter of Louis Triche, Sr. and Mary Vignau. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Malcolm E. Andry, Sr., her sister Evelyn Triche and brothers George Triche and Louis Triche, Jr. She is survived by her son, Dr. Malcolm E. Andry, Jr., and stepdaughter Sara Pat Andry Shaheen. Her grandchildren, Malcolm E. Andry, III, Matthew Andry, Juliette Andry, and step-grandson, Gabe Weber. She is survived by her brothers, Herman Triche and Leonard Triche and much loved nieces, nephews and cousins. Affectionately called "Nana Rose", she will be missed for her wit and her imaginative impulsive nature.
She was for many years an executive secretary at Sears in the Group Office in Metairie. In retirement, she enjoyed travel, spending time with her grandchildren, volunteer work at Harahan City Hall, serving as an election commissioner, and her involvement with the Harahan Senior Citizen Center
.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass from the Metairie home of THARP-SONTHEIMER-THARP, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. at 43rd Street on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 10:00 AM with interment in Carrollton Cemetery. Visitation on Monday, June 21, 2010 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
