Rosemary Jean Leydecker passed from this life on Friday, April 4, 2014. She is survived by her sister, Carmelite C. Leydecker, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Frequin Daniel Leydecker; mother, Mary Tonry Leydecker; and four sisters and her brother. "Aunt Jean" will be forever remembered as a humble, generous, joyful, and loving woman who dedicated her life to others. Rosemary Jean Leydecker passed from this life on Friday, April 4, 2014. She is survived by her sister, Carmelite C. Leydecker, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Frequin Daniel Leydecker; mother, Mary Tonry Leydecker; and four sisters and her brother.
"Aunt Jean" will be forever remembered as a humble, generous, joyful, and loving woman who dedicated her life to others. She adhered to the tenets of her precious Catholic faith throughout her 91 years of earthly life, and will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
Miss Leydecker was a native New Orleanian and resided in Metairie since 2005. She was the secretary for Mr. George H. Toye at Toye Brothers Yellow Cab Co. for over 30 years, and later retired from National American Bank in New Orleans.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on Friday April 11 at St. Angela Merici Church, 835 Melody Drive in Metairie, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery #3.
