Rosemary L. Lybarger, 84, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Davenport on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 10:00 am. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Genesis VNA or the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Rosemary was born September 27, 1929 in Davenport; the daughter of Joseph and Elsie (Schluenz) Harrison. On July 1, 1961, she married Lester A. Lybarger in Davenport; he preceded her in death on March 1, 2004.
Mrs. Lybarger had been employed by Peterson Harned Von Maur prior to her marriage. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed watching Special Olympics events, dancing and bowling. Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Debra Lybarger, Davenport; sister, Betty Harrison, Davenport and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Steven, her parents and brothers: Willis, Ernest and Harry Harrison.
