Obituary

Greensboro- Mrs. Rosemond Oneal Harding, 98 passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at Moses Cone Health Care. A graveside service will be held 12:00 p.m., Thursday, August 28, 2014, at New Garden Friends Meeting with Pastor Larry Martin officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the cemetery. Rosemond was born October 7, 1915, in Davie County, NC to the late Benjamin H. and Rosa Ann Oneal. Rosemond was born October 7, 1915, in Davie County, NC to the late Benjamin H. and Rosa Ann Oneal. She graduated from Pittsboro High School and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Guilford Chapter 141 for 25 years. She was a seamstress who made her own clothes for herself, her children and grandchildren, enjoyed crocheting, played several musical instruments including the banjo and loved gardening.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harding was preceded in death by her husband Dwight E. Harding; son, David Reed Harding; brothers, Theodore Oneal, Manuel McKinley Oneal and her sisters, Mary Daisy O. Mansfield, Dolly Jane O. Perry, Evelyn Norwood and Barbara Vestal O. Vaughan. She is survived by her son, Edward Richardson Harding, II of Sanford, NC; grandchildren, William Edward Harding of Greensboro, Jeffrey Allan Harding of Greensboro, Kelly Ann Renee Hoy of Loris, SC; step grandson, Greg Crutchfield of Sanford, NC. Also surviving are 8 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405.
