I remember Roxie as a kind and gentle woman. When I was a child and she and Maurice and children would visit with our family, she always took an interest in each of us kids, and made a point to talk with us about what was happening in school, etc. We stayed in touch over the years, and she was so proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you remember your mother fondly.

To the Barnes family,

I can remember your parents (grandparents) playing cards with their school friends, which included my parents. Then going to Beck's for a yearly get together. Good memories. Your mom was a special lady.
