Roxy was born at home on April 2, 1934 to Lillian and Roland Chatagnier. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and most importantly with her husband. Roxy was happiest at his side where her "buddy" could hold her hand and simply say 'I love you'
Throughout her extraordinary life, she was a Den Mother of the Cub Scouts, Sister of Beta Sigma Pi, a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and served as their Regent, she also served as Calcasieu Parish Justice of the Peace, along with many other accomplishments.
Cooking was one of her greatest joys. Whether it was for a house filled with loved ones during a big holiday or a bus of high-school kids that won't leave for their away football game until Mawmaw Roxy arrived with her famous fudgy button treats. She cooked with love and tremendous skill, never hesitating to give a little lesson in her kitchen. Her grandbabies could easily be spotted trying to sneak a warm cookie....she knew. And I know she was smiling!
We all spend a lifetime building something and for Roxy it was simply a legacy of Love. Which we will all remember most and honor her by continuing that legacy in each of our own lives.
Roxy is survived by her loving husband and best friend Jim Burrows. They shared 60 years of life's journey together. She will be greatly missed by her children; Mike Burrows and wife Jan of Shreveport, LA, David Burrows of Vinton, LA and Evon, Steven Burrows of Vinton, LA. Her brother Brook Chatagnier and wife Helen of Port Neches, TX along with neices and nephews Roland & Loretta Chatagnier, Cindy & Barry Burton, Brenda & Gary Richards, Nolen & Chance Chatagnier and their families. Grandchildren; Ann James and husband Eric of Orange, TX, Brandy King and husband Wesley of Vinton, LA, Larry Allen Burrows and wife Tina of Claremore, OK, J.W. Burrows and wife Stacey of Shreveport, LA, and Michelle Burrows of Shreveport, LA. Great-Grandchildren; Briana James, Madison & Landon King, Timothy & Johnathon Burrows.

"Deepest sympathy at your families loss, David. You Mom was the "perfect" example of a faithful wife and loving mother. I love you, David." Anon (Starks, LA)
