Roy Kenneth Boren, age 82, died Sunday, March 31, 2013 at his residence in Electra, Texas.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Highland Cemetery with Pastor, Daniel Graham of Cornerstone Church in Iowa Park officiating. Services are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park, Texas.
Mr. Boren was born May 15, 1931 in Leonard, Texas to Claude and Eunice (Watson) Boren. He married Gloria Jane Boren May 7, 1954. He worked in the Oilfield all his life, working for W.H. Hammond and Birdwell Well Service. Roy loved to hunt and fish. He has lived in the Electra area all his life.
His parents, wife, daughter Vicky J. Pierce and a brother J.W. Boren preceded him in death.
He is survived by his son, Ronnie Boren and wife, Victoria of Iowa Park; grandsons, Joseph Boren, Wesley Boren and Dalton Boren and a great grandson, Cullum Boren.

Ronnie, I am sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. He was a friend of mine growing up here in Iowa Park. I can remember your Dad and J.W. working some for my Dad doing farm work, hay hauling, etc.as youngsters. Please express my condolences to the rest of the family
