I remember fondly the good times we had together. As East Fresno Lions Club members we went to Ensenada where we contributed to building a school and met with Ensenada Lions Club.

I think Roy was a unique person. He went out of his way to help people around him and those in the community. I knew him for about 28 years, since my joining the EAST FRESNO LIONS CLUB in 1984 (approx.) Roy was always a friend to me and to many others, wanting the best for all he came in contact with. He was funny and insightful in so many ways. I will miss him greatly. It was so wonderful that he shared himself with us for 94 years. D. R. Safley, E. Fresno Lions Club, & former teacher F.U.S.D.

My Dad was a man unlike no other. His thirst for knowledge in every subject continued til the day he left us. He was a man of great morals and compassion. He was there for any and everybody who needed help for any reason. The love he and my mom shared surpassed even story book loves. The world is less one of a few true honest icons, while our lord has received a new true angle...LOVE AND MISS YOU DAD!!! Stacey
