Graveside service for Ronald W. Gardner, 60 formally of Potsdam NY will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Old St. Mary's Cemetery in Potsdam at 3:00pm. Mr. Gardner passed away early Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the Van Duyn Rehabilitation Center in Syracuse.
Ronald was born March 27, 1956 in Potsdam to the late Douglas and Agnes (Norman) Gardner. He graduated from Potsdam high school. He went on to work as a custodian, later going to the Nutrition Center and then finally to Clarkson University in food service.
Ronald is survived by four brothers; Leonard Gardner and Carol Miglin of Utica, Norman of Potsdam, David of Malone and Bruce and Pearl of Fulton; two sisters Darlene and James Besaw and Cheryl Gardner both of Potsdam along with several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, his stepfather Fred Blackmer; three brothers Richard (1951), Jerry (2007), and Victor (2009) and two sisters Patricia (1956) and Annette (1974).
Since a very young age Ronald enjoyed electronics. He would take them apart to find out how they worked and would put them back together again or fix it. He enjoyed listening to 60's and 70's rock music.
