Ruby Moore Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 15, 2017.

Mrs. Ruby Moore was born on May 29, 1930 in Jonesboro, Louisiana. Her family moved to Houston in 1943. After World War 2 she and Stanley Moore, also from Jonesboro, reconnected and were married in 1948. They continued to reside in Houston the remainder or their lives. She was a strong woman and patience was her strong suit. She always made time to listen to someone who needed to talk, no matter how long it took. She was also known to do anything for anybody.

She spent most of her time as a homemaker, but as the kids got older some outside jobs were taken: Sears Service Center, Citizens Bank and working the polls on election days. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and working in the yard with flowers, our family was a Christian home.
She loved being in church, listening to bible doctrine and was very thankful for the pastors the Lord provided.

As we were all still here on earth, Ruby Moore woke up to a sunrise in heaven on the morning of November 14, 2017. She was absent from the body and face-to-face with the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Moore and her daughter Reva Mudd. She leaves behind a loving family: son Eddie Moore of Houston; son-in-law Roy Mudd of Centerville, grandson Josh Mudd and his wife Qwa of Centerville, grandchildren Leslie Mudd, Emalee Mudd, Lane Mudd, and great-grandson Jonathan Mudd of Centerville, foster sister Sue Waltman, and many other loving relatives and friends.

A visitation with the family will be held at 10:30 a.m., following with a Chapel service at 11:30 a.m., At American Heritage Funeral Home located at 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive in Houston, Texas 77038.
The family would like you to join them for a committal service at 1:00 p.m., at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery at 13102 North Fwy in Houston, Texas 77060.

Eddie I so appreciate you letting me know about your Mom and for Roy giving me her number. I really enjoyed "catching up" with her. She was such a good Mom and friend. I have such fond memories of the days on Parker Road. She was a very loving neighbour and always so willing to help anyway she could. She loved you and Reva so much and was so proud of you both. She will be remembered for her kindness and her dedication to our Lord. Our hearts and prayers are with you and the family now and days to come. Ila Moody, Janice and Carolyn. Nacogdoches Tx.

Mudd and Family

She was a very loving Grandmother, Mother and friend to all. She would go out of her way to take care and be a loving person. She loved her family dearly and will always be here with us! She is now at peace and is living every minute with the Lord, husband and daughter. She will be truly missed by all!

I have known Ruby since we went to Grace North Baptist Church and she was a mentor to me . I can say she was the kindest, and godly person I know. She always would listen to you and give you advice and love her family.Ruby always love her yard and flowers and love to sew. I always could sit down and carry a good conversation and good cup of coffee with her and you knew it was the best in the world and you can always call her your dear friend and family because that how she made you feel.I truly going to miss her but I know she finally gone to her heavenly father. Your dear friend, Cheryl Tyer
