Mrs. Ruedell Britt Diggs, age 89 of Jackson, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Cades Center in Jackson.
Graveside services for Mrs. Ruedell will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at Parkburg Cemetery in Pinson. Interment will follow the service. Bros. Jerry Howell and Danny Geary will officiate the service.
Casketbearers will be her grandsons, Mark and Michael Diggs, and great-grandsons, Collin and Chase Diggs.
Ruedell was born on July 7, 1925 in Henderson County, TN, to the late George W. and Rosy Singleton Britt. She was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church in Bemis for over 50 years. She married Clifford E. Diggs in Corinth, MS, on January 13, 1945, and they were married 44 years until his death in 1989.
In addition to her parents, Ruedell was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford E. Diggs; son, Billy E. Diggs; daughter, Barbara Diggs Blackwell; granddaughters, Julie Blackwell Luke and Amy Blackwell; and five siblings.
She is survive by her daughter-in-law, Vicki Diggs of Jackson; grandsons, Mark Diggs (Kristi) and Michael Diggs (LaCosta); four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Cades Center of South Jackson for the loving care they gave to Ruedell.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home.
