Peacefully at Port Perry Place on Friday, October 20th, 2017 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Helen for 67 years. Loving father of Brian R. (Marilyn) and Cindy Thompson (Rob) and daughter-in-law Janet. Predeceased by son Glenn. Proud grandfather of Jordan, Kevin, Bryan, Sherri, Kerri and the late Derek. Great grandfather of Elisia, Glenn, Patrick and Conner. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234) on Monday, October 23rd, from 12:00 noon until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Covenant House – Toronto or Hill House Hospice - Richmond Hill would be appreciated.

I only knew Russell briefly when I visit my Husband at Port Perry Place and he was truly a wonderful Gentleman and his Wife Helen is just a real sweetheart they truly had True Love it was so evident. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this sad time.
