Ruth Bunnell, 102, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord, March 25, 2015, following an extended residency at Grace Living Center Bethany. She was born January 13, 1913, near the town of West, Texas, The daughter of the late Henry and Martha Chambless. She was the last of her nine siblings to pass away.

Ruth was very active in the Church of the Nazarene, more than 50 years as a Sunday school teacher and served one church for 28 years as treasurer. After working a number of years as a bookkeeper, she sold Avon products for 35 years until she was in her nineties and could no longer drive.

She is survived by her three daughters, Lenna and son-in-law, Jon LeCrone of The Village, OK; Nettie and son-in-law, Paul Stroud of Minco, OK; Martha Shearer of Bethany, OK; and step-son, Ray Bunnell, Jr. and wife, Ginger of San Luis Obispo, CA. Grandchildren: Daniel Hayward; Virginia Roach and husband, Martin; Paula Troutman and husband, Philip; Raymond Stroud II and wife, Robin; Eunice Weiszbrod and husband, Darin; Douglas Shearer; Debbie Shay and Gina Jackson and husband, Brad; also, 23 Great-Grandchildren and 7 Great-Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by Lenard Gibson, the father of her daughters and her husband, Ray Bunnell, Sr. and Grandchildren Patricia Spink and Nathan Stroud.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 29 at the Bill Merritt Funeral Home in Bethany from noon to 8:00 p.m. with Family present from 2:00 to 5:00. Service will be at the Mustang Church of the Nazarene on Monday, March 30 at 2:00 p.m. with burial at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Oklahoma City, OK.
