Ruth and Ken were "adopted Grandparents" to our children. They always treated us like family. They were such fine Christian people and we treasure their years of friendship. Ruth always spoke so highly of all of her children and grandchildren. We are sorry for your loss. Carl and Sheryl Rische (Oak Harbor, WA)

Mrs. Brown will be truly missed. I have known her for 40 years. I grew up with her children living in the house next door. Eventually I got married and moved to California. Each year I would return to the east coast to visit my family and always looked forward to our visit. It took me four years living in England to appreciate a good cup of tea. She made the best cup of tea this side of the Atlantic Ocean. I spent hours visiting and chatting with her; drinking her delicious tea. Her children were her greatest joy and were very dear to her heart. She spoke of them highly and very proud of each one, going through the order, and continued with the grandchildren. I am truly blessed to have known her. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you and may you each cherish the precious memories.

Grandma Brown was a gracious lady who opened her home willingly to all. I remember sitting in her backyard w/ Karen while our children played. In later years, she always offered me a cup of tea while we chatted. Her family is a living testimony to her.

to my "big sister" Karen, her children-all of whom I love dearly--your mom/ grandma was quite a woman--even when she got sick--One of the last times I went and sat with her, I played "guess this hymn" on the organ--and she knew every one of them. I am sad for you all, but I am happy that she is now with the Lord and living out those very hymns....and I'll never forget how her face lit up at the sight of her lovely great grandbabies. I hope that you and all of your family--brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, etc...know that we care and we ask for Gods peace on you all at this time.
Love,
Kari

Home to the open arms of those who loved her, and went before. Basking in the joy of HIS presence and love. Knowing she left empty arms behind and a hollow in the hearts of those who stay, yet a while. It is, as the blink of an eye, yet, forever and ever. XO Glo

Ruth will be so missed. We had no idea she had passed. Our love to the family during this difficult time. We hadn't talked to Ruth for a while and feel so bad that she's gone. We talked many times recently about going back to New England to visit "Grammy". Eric and Kim will miss her also. She was such a wonderful substituite grandmother for our kids while we lived in Bosston. She and Ken were both very supportive through the years. We will miss her greatly. We know she is with her blessed Lord whom she served throughout her life.
