Ruth Auberry, 81, of Houston,Texas passed away on June 5, 2011. She was born to Eddie Watson and Ona (Brown) Watson on August 23, 1929. She was born in Center, Texas but grew up in a small town called Goober Hill, Texas with her single Mother. She moved to Houston in 1942. From 1944 to 1948 she worked for Cameron Iron Works supporting the war effort. On October 10, 1947 She married William (Bill) F. Auberry, who she was still married to at the time of her death. Ruth Auberry, 81, of Houston,Texas passed away on June 5, 2011. She was born to Eddie Watson and Ona (Brown) Watson on August 23, 1929. She was born in Center, Texas but grew up in a small town called Goober Hill, Texas with her single Mother. She moved to Houston in 1942. From 1944 to 1948 she worked for Cameron Iron Works supporting the war effort. On October 10, 1947 She married William (Bill) F. Auberry, who she was still married to at the time of her death.

Ruth blessed Bill with seven children; James, Michael, Susan, LaWanda, Patsy, Vance and Andy. In 1987, they retired to Hidden Forest in Montgomery, Texas; because it reminded her so much of Goober Hill. In 2007, due to health issues she and Bill moved back to Houston to be near family and medical facilities.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, W.C. Watson; two sisters, Iris Taylor and Verna Hull and son Michael Auberry.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bill Auberry; three sons, James Auberry and wife Sharon, Vance Auberry and Andy Auberry; three daughters, Susan Auberry, LaWanda Carey and husband William and Patsy Kana and husband Glenn; grandchildren, Shawn Auberry, Aneshia Madden, Layla Carey, Matthew Carey, Jeffery Kremsdorf, Jennifer Lucia, Chad Kana, Jacob Auberry, Austin Auberry, and Walker Auberry; nine great-granchildren, Beau Auberry, Shelby Auberry, Chance Auberry, Hannaha Green, Brian Resing, Stormi Nugent, Gilmour Carey, Chloe Auberry, and Devyn Lucia; sister Audrey Taylor; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 5-8 o'clock in the evening at Pat H. Foley & Co. A celebration of Life will be held with Dr. Glen Willingham officitiating on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 2:00 in the afternoon. She will be laid to rest at Brookside Memorial Park, 13401 Eastex Freeway at Lauder Rd, Houston, Texas 77039.
