Ruth Tite Bischoff1922 ~ 2014Salt Lake CityJune 13, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She lived a full and wonderful life for the 91 years that she graced our lives with her presence. She was an exceptional beauty and was always immaculately dressed with never a hair out of place. She was the epitome of an elegant and lovely lady in everything she did and everywhere she went, even to walk her dog. Ruth was born in Ogden, Utah on November 12, 1922 to Joseph and Elva Tite. She grew up in Ogden during the great depression and was a classic member of the "greatest generation" of World War II. While at Ogden High School, Ruth met the student body president, Robert Bischoff, who became the love of her life and they enjoyed one of the great marriages of all time. Bob and Ruth were married on May 6, 1942 in Boston, Massachusetts and lived in Ogden until 1969 when they moved with Commercial Security Bank to the company's new headquarters in Salt Lake City. Bob would become President of what is today KeyBank, and Ruth flourished in the Salt Lake community as a long-time member of the Town Club, the Salt Lake Country Club, The Alta Club and served as President of the Assistance League. After 59 years of marriage, Bob died in 2001 leaving Ruth without her constant companion in every aspect of her life.Bob and Ruth raised three children, Denise, Curtis and Kevin and her family was always the center of her life. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing bridge and traveling the world. Ruth was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Bob. She is survived by her three children; Denise Storheim (Dr. John E. Sr.), Curtis Bischoff (Francie), and Kevin Bischoff (Jill) and her brother, Joseph Tite (Carol). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; Michael Robertson (Nora), Mathew Robertson (Heather), Katie Zimmerman (Adam), Megan Robertson, Christopher Robertson, Chase Echols, Laura Bischoff Ayers, Chad Bischoff and Hayes Bischoff, and by 18 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Sunrise Senior Living for the loving and expert care they provided to Ruth over the past several years. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made in Ruth's name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
