Ruth V. DeRocchi, 86, of Lincoln, formerly of Springfield and Taylorville passed away on Thursday November 21, 2013 at her residence. She was born on June 14, 1927 in Taylorville, the daughter of Harry and Alli Summers Dooley.

She is survived by her two daughters: Melanie Jeisy of Lincoln, and Martha Schneider of Holmes Beach, FL., her son Antone DeRocchi of Jeiseyville, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Ruth was a support specialist for the State of Illinois retiring in 1986 after more than thirty years of service. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, cooking, baking apple pies and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Ruth was also a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary in Taylorville.
