Ruth "Lavina" Fry was born August 29th, 1915 into the Molalla, Oregon home of Charles Russell & Etta Elena Fiske, and passed away early in the afternoon of July 11th, 2014 in Ritzville, Washington at the golden age of 98 years. On December 25, 1935 twenty year young Lavina married Frank Francis Fry in Veneta, Oregon. The following year they moved to Yakima, Washington where she lived until 1989 when she moved to Lynwood, Washington, before moving to Davenport, Washington in 2005 and Ritzville, Washington in 2012. A food service worker and active member of the Nazarene Church in both Yakima and Lynnwood, Lavina also became well known in both the Lynnwood and Davenport Senior Citizen Centers. At a young age Lavina learned to play the guitar and a firm believer in the adages: "Can't never did anything!" and "Where there's a will, there's a way" in her later years Lavina taught herself to crochet and soon became proficient there-in. She loved to read her Bible, especially the Psalms, enjoyed crossword puzzles and tried never to miss "Wheel of Fortune" or a Billy Graham program on TV. Lavina's greatest love though was always quality time with family, whether it was the annual reunion of extended family in Wilsonville, Oregon, "Girl Trips" with her daughter(s), or any time spent with her grandkids. All who knew Lavina will miss her infectious smile and wonderful hugs.

Predeceased in 1982 by her beloved husband of 47 years – Frank Fry; Lavina's legacy lives on through her daughter: Rose Johnson (Gary) of Davenport, WA; son: Clifford Fry Sr. of Davenport, WA; honorary daughter: Sharon Rose of Coulee Dam, WA; grandchildren: Len Thompson, Mike Johnson, John Johnson, Greg Johnson, Mark Fry, Cliff Fry Jr., Joanne Fry, Tonie Fry, Gary Johnson Jr., Nina Belanger and Bell Rae Johnson; 25 Great-grandchildren; 10 Great-great-grandchildren; 3 Great-great-great-children and numerous nephews and nieces.

Her family requests that any donations be made in Lavina's memory to the charity of your choice
