Obituary

Ruth Bowlin Perrier, 94, of Mulberry, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013. She was born October 4, 1919 to the late Paul and Bessie Bowlin. She retired after 27 years with the Mulberry School District as an elementary school teacher. She was a member of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association (ARTA), National Education Association (NEA), Crawford County Retired Teachers Association (CCRTA), and a member of the First Baptist Church of Mulberry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Perrier, Jr. She is survived by a son, Paul Gene Perrier and wife Dottie of Van Buren; a sister, Betty Yeager of Victorville, CA; two...
Ruth Bowlin Perrier, 94, of Mulberry, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013. She was born October 4, 1919 to the late Paul and Bessie Bowlin. She retired after 27 years with the Mulberry School District as an elementary school teacher. She was a member of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association (ARTA), National Education Association (NEA), Crawford County Retired Teachers Association (CCRTA), and a member of the First Baptist Church of Mulberry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Perrier, Jr.

She is survived by a son, Paul Gene Perrier and wife Dottie of Van Buren; a sister, Betty Yeager of Victorville, CA; two grandsons, Paul Brian Perrier of Sanger, TX, and Bradley Gene Perrier of Irving, TX; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Mulberry, with interment to follow at New Cemetery in Mulberry, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Moore, Jimmy McChristian, Jerry Prescott, Danny Udouj, David Bender, and John Paul Chitwood.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.

Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mulberry, 453 Church Avenue, Mulberry, AR 72947.
