SHUMAKER, Ruth Rachel of Kettering, Ohio died July 30, 2013. Ruth was born to parents Allie P. Trentham and Elizabeth L. Killion in McKenzie, TN. She was retired from General Motors Corporation-Delco Products and Delco Moraine Divisions. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert J. Shumaker, her three siblings, James Trentham, Joe Trentham, and Mildred Sims, and nephew Ron. C. Sims. She is survived by niece, Connie (Sims) Schepers and husband Jim of Bel Air, MD; nephew, Terry Joe Trentham and wife Judith of Lexington, SC; great-niece Sarah Ehrmann and husband David of Nashville, TN; great-niece Mary Pena and husband...

She is survived by niece, Connie (Sims) Schepers and husband Jim of Bel Air, MD; nephew, Terry Joe Trentham and wife Judith of Lexington, SC; great-niece Sarah Ehrmann and husband David of Nashville, TN; great-niece Mary Pena and husband J. Angelo of Abingdon, MD; great-nephew Ryan Sims of Denver, CO; great-nephew Damon Sims of Ferndale, MI; great-nephew Ben Sims of Newville, PA; 6 great-great nieces and nephews, the most recent is her namesake Rachel who was born on July 30, 2013; and best friend and work colleague Joyce Atkinson of Kettering, OH. The family will receive family and friends Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd. in Dayton, OH. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM, Friday, August 16, 2013 at Church of the Ascension, 2025 Woodman Dr., Kettering, OH.
