Stephen A. "Steve" Vodde, 68, of Belleville, Illinois, born, March 13, 1944 in Belleville, Illinois, died on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Rosewood Care Center of Swansea, Swansea, Illinois.
Mr. Vodde was an officer in the Parking Control Unit for the city of Belleville, Illinois. He was past Commander of American Legion Post 58 in Belleville, Illinois. Member of the Teamsters Local 50. The Sons of the Union Veterans of Civil War. A veteran of the United States Air Force.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, James T. and Dorris, nee Winter, Vodde.
Steve is survived by an uncle; many cousins, relatives, family and friends and a special friend, Shirley Rutledge.

A memorial gathering will be held to celebrate Steve's life from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.
The American Legion Post #58 will conduct the American Legion Ritual at the funeral home at 4:30 pm.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 5:00 pm. With Joseph F. Lahue officiating.
Interment will be held privately
