Sadie Frances Baker, age 80, of Front Royal, passed away on Tuesday, May 07, 2013 at her home.
A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Susan O'Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Baker was born in Rappahannock County on July 31, 1932, a daughter of the late Kinsey and Izza Virginia Dodson Atkins. She was a seamstress for Eileen's in Flint Hill. She was a member of Rivermont Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
Mrs. Baker leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 59 years, Robert Lee Baker; her sons, Raymond McKinley Atkins and wife Carol of Romney, WV, Kenneth Lee Baker and wife Brenda of Front Royal, Bobby William Baker of Front Royal, Lennis Franklin Baker of Strasburg, and Ronald Clayton Baker and wife Joyce of Strasburg; her daughter, Boboline Frances Clark and husband Ervin of Charlotte, NC; her brothers, Charles Ashby Atkins, Sherman Franklin Atkins, James Douglas Atkins and Russell Marvin Atkins; her sisters, Laura Ann Smoot, Charlotte May Atkins; her eight grandchildren; and her two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her sons, and Charles Foster and Bill Grove. Honorary pallbearers will be Zachary Baker, Ervin Clark, Jacob Grove, Alexander Baker, Raymond Atkins and Daniel Atkins.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
