My dearest Sallie, I will miss the smile or wave we would share across from our kitchen windows and the lovely treats from home to home over the years. You were more than my neighbor but a role model and dear friend. When the wind blows through our yards Ray and I will always listen and hear the sound of your homemade chimes and breathe in the scent of your earthy garden embedded in our hearts and memories forever.

A strong independent woman, a community volunteer, and the best neighbor a person could ask for. She will be conspicuous in her absence.
