Obituary

SALLY TURPIN, age 50, of Missouri City, Texas, was welcomed into Heaven on Thursday, April 24, 2014. Waiting to greet here were her grandparents – the Turpin's and the Gillman's, eager to discuss all kinds of things with her, such as how to cook the perfect gumbo, how to make the world's greatest smoothie, and how to make mustard greens edible. She got her love of gumbo from her Cajun side because her Irish side eats nothing stronger than mashed potatoes. Sally was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on November 15, 1963, on a very cold snowy day. She attended Houston grade schools, Baylor University, and the University of Houston. ...

After college she began work at the Decorative Center in the Galleria. Sally later changed jobs, and became employed at the Gensler Architectural Firm downtown, where she was a Librarian and Social Planner for eight years. Wanting to try something new, she developed her own organizing business. Now homes are uncluttered from here to Georgia.

Sally is survived by her parents, Jim and Brenda Turpin; sister, Jeanne; her aunts and uncles, Becky and Mike Landry, Larry and Kim Turpin, and Jack and Bettie Turpin; and cousins, Michael and Mark, Ty, Natalie and Rachel, John, Eric, and Tracy.

No warrior in battle could have fought a more valiant fight than Sally. Our family greatly appreciates everyone who supported us in prayer, food, visits, sitting, notes, and cards. Somehow, your encouragement always arrived just when we needed it. We could not have done it without you. May God Bless and keep each one of you as you continue along life's way.

For those desiring, donations in Sally's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
