SALVATORE BUTTACI Salvatore Buttaci, age 76, of Princeton, WV passed into the arms of Jesus on April 18, 2018, at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley with his loving wife by his side. Born June 12, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Michael and Josephine, Amico Buttaci. Sal was an English teacher for many years. He taught various levels, middle school, high school, and college in his teaching career. He received his BA from Seton Hall University and an MBA from Rutgers University. Sal was a published author having written many poetry and fiction books. He was an active member of the Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Princeton. ...

Salvatore Buttaci, age 76, of Princeton, WV passed into the arms of Jesus on April 18, 2018, at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley with his loving wife by his side.
Born June 12, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Michael and Josephine, Amico Buttaci.
Sal was an English teacher for many years. He taught various levels, middle school, high school, and college in his teaching career. He received his BA from Seton Hall University and an MBA from Rutgers University. Sal was a published author having written many poetry and fiction books. He was an active member of the Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Princeton. Sal was Chairman of the Parish Council, RCIA teacher and a lector. He loved his parish family!
In addition to his parents, Sal was preceded in death by four siblings, Alphonse, Anna, Jenny, and Frank.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 21 years, Sharon Bateman Buttaci; sisters, Joan Willoughby and husband, Keith of Randolph, NJ and Sarah Olivito and husband, Sal of Scotch Plains, NJ; stepson, David Michael Fisher whom Sal loved like a natural born son; granddaughters, Olivia, Leanna, and Sarah all of Independence, MO; brother in-law, Ciro Coppola of Clifton, NJ; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Funeral Mass will be held 11:00AM Monday, April 23, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Princeton. It was Sal's wishes to be cremated. Father Sebastion Devasya will be the celebrant.
Friends may gather with the family from 10:00AM until time of the service Monday at the church.
