Sandra Denise Bentley Curtis, 64, of Advance, NC, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017, at Bermuda Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation in Advance, NC.
Born on October 1, 1952 in Catawba County, NC, she was the daughter of the late James Thomas Bentley and Ella Jean McIntosh Bentley. She was a graduate of Granite Falls High School and went on and graduated from Gardner-Webb University, where she then worked at Lawing & Rowe, CPAs for 20 years. She also owned a business with her husband Rick, and taught at Caldwell Community College in Hudson, NC. She also had a love for dogs.
Mrs. Curtis is survived by her husband of 24 years, Jack “Rick” Curtis Jr. of Granite Falls, NC; daughter, Kim Moser and husband Jason of Advance, NC; brother, Tommy Bentley and wife Becky of Granite Falls, NC.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 1:00 to 1:45pm prior to the service at Catawba Memorial Park, Funerals & Cremations Hickory, NC.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Catawba Memorial Park, Funerals & Cremations with Chaplain Katie Lovelace officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
