Oh my Sandy ~ I am still in shock from last week, after just learning of your unfortunate and most untimely death!
I guess that's why it's taken me so long to write something here, and I'm not sure what to write!
I shall miss your bubbly personality, radiant smile, as well as your precious, beloved Mohawk!
God took you away way too soon Sandy! He knows our days, and our plan so I guess he needed another angel in Heaven, sooner vs. later. I am very sad, as are your other friends are who knew you longer, or better.
I had the privilege of meeting Sandy and Mohawk at our bird club meetings.
I shall miss seeing you, as well as Mohawk.
I'm trying to find out for you Sandy, who has Mohawk to make sure he and all is OK and offer any help with him if ever needed, or to care for him if ever needed...that much is all I guess I can do at this point for you. I know you loved your Mohawk so, and he you. It was so clear every time you visited our bird club with Mohawk. Birds are little angels with wings, and packed with such personalities. I can picture you now smiling away with Mohawk in his little harness on your shoulder.
IF someone knows here, who has Mohawk, please contact me and let me know how he is doing! I am worried about him, and sure he is missing Sandy who so loved and doted over him. Thanks!
I was so surprised one evening when you came to my work, with Elmer Armstrong, who was to entertain for my patients at our candlelight dinner. You were surprised to see me, too. I will never forget how when you saw I was helping one of my residents dance to the music, that you went right over and started to "wheelchair" dance with two of my other patients, who could not stand up themselves. It takes a special kind of person to do that, and especially with someone you never met before. Sandy, you had that special gift in you, too, that you complimented me for that night. Bless your soul Sandy!
I was so shocked to hear of your foot injury and events that came after that. I was glad to have at least talked to you once after you moved, though I so wished you called me back as I asked Sandy! I'm sorry I didn't ask for your number (it came up private!) forgive me. I didn't know all you were going through, but I did keep you in prayer after you told me of your foot/injury, and I did care about you.
I put a prayer request in for you at my Church, Cottonwood, yesterday.
I know you trusted and believed in God for your situation, and I know as well that you are "home" with Him now.
I wish I had more time to spend with you and getting to know you Sandy.
I announced your passing the next day after I heard, at our bird club meeting, and the members are in shock, too.
Some of us are planning to come up to see you, and pay our final respects.
I still can't believe this all as I am writing this. It's hard to grasp this all right now, still.
I know you are smiling up there in Heaven Sandy, just know you were cared for here on Earth and I think of you every time my 2 cockatiels are signing. I picture you and your smiling face, and your sweet Mohawk on your shoulder.
I'm also trying to find someone who has a picture with you and your Mohawk, as it should be put up on this page, as he was such a special part of your life.
Rest in Peace my friend, be happy and do well doing God's work in Heaven now.
Godspeed Sandy, until we meetup again in Heaven.

I will miss you, dear Sandy. You had a personality that was bigger than life. I know that you are singing with the angels now, but I will miss you very much. I remember when my husband Lou got your name on the guest list where you met George Clooney, and you took the opportunity of sharing the Lord with him. You were always telling everyone you met about Jesus. We had so much fun together at the different events we went to. I loved praying with you. You were an inspiration. Love you, Jeanne Lollio

What a shock to hear of Sandy passing. She was a dear friend and fellow Recording Academy (Grammy's) member. She will be missed. She had a beautiful voice that blessed many. We performed several times together in music. We were part of a home church together. She was loved by many. Lou Lollio

Sandy was my colleague in LA in the mid-90's. We became friends since we both left that company, and she came to visit me in San Francisco occasionally. She was a kind and caring person. I am sorry for your loss. May she rest in peace.

Sorry we couldn't come for the funeral. Our thoughts are with the family this day, her friends and especially, Lilian who was her 'best bud'. Lilian, you deserve a 'high five'. Your friendship with Sandy was very, very special. She always spoke very highly about you.

My first encounter with Sandy was at the Mega Praise Services. I've watched her intensely as she would render her voice to the Lord with great compassion and expression.
But the most I remembered were the few weeks I shared my apartment with her. We were able to sing together, pray together, and cry together just realizing some of the things she encountered. I encountered also.
To Sandy's family and close friends what I know about her, her heart was full of gold for God and His people. But Sandy's biggest fan is her bird, Mohawk. Everyday he sings and sings and sings. But Sandy loved her bird like you never seen it before.
Sandy, I will miss you, but I know I will see you again soon.

I am going to miss Sandy immensely. I knew her before she left Toronto for her beloved California in the early 1990's, and kept in close touch over the years. On several visits to Los Angeles I met up with Sandy and she was always ready for some fun and adventure. Of all the wonderful qualities Sandy had perhaps her most poignant was her total faith in the Lord, which never waivered in the slightest. Bill Penny (Toronto ON)
